FAQs

How long does it take to process an order?

  • Orders are usually available within 2-3 weeks.

Can orders be expedited?

  • No, but we make an effort to accommodate requests for expedited orders as staffing allows, but may not be able to quickly turn around large orders.

When do I need a Use Agreement?

  • If you plan to publish the image, use it in a presentation or exhibit, or display it in a public space, we request that you fill out a Use Agreement (below).

  • If I fill out a Use Agreement, will I also be charged a use fee?
    • Sometimes. We waive use fees for any citizen, business or government agency in the State of Wyoming or for out-of-state non-profit or educational uses. For more information about use fees, please see our Commercial Use page.

What is the highest resolution available for photograph scans?

  • Our master scans are 600 dpi Tiffs at the original photograph size. This means most are over 4000 x 5000 pixels. Requests for larger files will be considered on a case by case basis and may take longer to process.

  • Black and white images are scanned as 8-bit grayscale. This includes images that were originally black and white but have yellowed or discolored over time. Colored images are 24-bit RGB color.

What file types are available for scans?

  • Jpeg and Tiff

How will my scans be emailed to me?

  • We will send you a link using Google Drive. The files may be viewed and downloaded from there, even if you do not have a Gmail account. These links are best accessed using the Chrome browser. Please let us know if you have troubles accessing the files.

Do you crop the images to fit the paper size?

  • No. The images are fit to the largest dimension of the paper. Please contact us for pricing on panoramic views.
