Digital Collections

phonePhotoiMAGE

Many of our records have been digitized to make them easier to access. Or, they are “born digital;” that is, they were created as a digital document (report, photo, map, slideshow, etc.) and have never been printed as physical items. To access these records please have a look in these places:

Wyoming Digital Archives

The Digital Archives is a secure online repository where state agencies can store, manage, and access electronic records with long-term or permanent value. Developed by the State Archives, the Digital Archives preserves and manages state agency electronic records in much the same way the State Records Center does for paper records. Eventually, state agencies will use this portal to share publicly accessible electronic records for easy access.

Wyoming COVID-19 Collection Project (link opens in new tab/window)

The Wyoming State Archives is accepting donations of diaries, written accounts, videos, vlogs, pictures, and other documents that will allow researchers in the future a better picture of life during the current pandemic in Wyoming. For more information and donate, use the Documenting COVID-19 in Wyoming with the State Archives form. To see what has been donated to the Wyoming State Archive, Wyoming State Museum, and UWYO American Heritage Center, visit the COVID-19 in Wyoming Google site.
